This months challenge was “Let’s go Geo!”
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-WqjQTY1vcn4/WubKw2WTSkI/AAAAAAAAA-g/xm6LH83_nOk6XKfYRJKLIT_IJl1uHYWCwCLcBGAs/s1600/IMG_9979.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-WqjQTY1vcn4/WubKw2WTSkI/AAAAAAAAA-g/xm6LH83_nOk6XKfYRJKLIT_IJl1uHYWCwCLcBGAs/s200/IMG_9979.JPG" width="200" height="189" data-original-width="280" data-original-height="264" /></a></div>
I decided to make a mixed media background using a collection of my geometric stamps. I then wanted to add a focal point of colour. I decided to use my Colour Blast Shimmer Powders for this. I love the way this layout turned out.
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-JevVIr0wlEg/WubMaMpdzLI/AAAAAAAAA-s/yDcuu2M9lPAT6-crLt0j6ffzSc52s2AfACLcBGAs/s1600/IMG_9748.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-JevVIr0wlEg/WubMaMpdzLI/AAAAAAAAA-s/yDcuu2M9lPAT6-crLt0j6ffzSc52s2AfACLcBGAs/s400/IMG_9748.JPG" width="400" height="400" data-original-width="1600" data-original-height="1598" /></a></div>
Thanks for stopping by
and happy Scrapping.

Using last years Pantone colour of the year.
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-syDR1DucZns/Wr3LW9787dI/AAAAAAAAA9c/RfNCxXBgvRo-GnJNz5SfW8I2SdfZLLnHgCLcBGAs/s1600/MAR_Ultra-Violet.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-syDR1DucZns/Wr3LW9787dI/AAAAAAAAA9c/RfNCxXBgvRo-GnJNz5SfW8I2SdfZLLnHgCLcBGAs/s200/MAR_Ultra-Violet.jpg" width="200" height="150" data-original-width="644" data-original-height="483" /></a></div>
As always, we must use 80% kaisercraft products.
I decided to make an art journal page for this months challenge. So i grabbed my fave Kaisercraft stamps, and somr eggplant kaiser paint and my dylusions journal, and went to it.
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-epIbNbwbfyU/Wr3LK_FjiUI/AAAAAAAAA9U/5W5-WzzyCEYBpZv4oTmb4VG9M6zj6QDhACLcBGAs/s1600/IMG_7400.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-epIbNbwbfyU/Wr3LK_FjiUI/AAAAAAAAA9U/5W5-WzzyCEYBpZv4oTmb4VG9M6zj6QDhACLcBGAs/s200/IMG_7400.jpg" width="200" height="150" data-original-width="1600" data-original-height="1200" /></a></div>
I started with my paint and painted on a background, then using a stencil and a wet one, i took off some of the colour to give me a layered background. Then i went at it with my stamps. The kaisercraft backround stamps are some of my fave to ass texture to my pages. Then i added some white paint through a kaisercraft stencil for some contrast. To finish off my page i added a figure from a magazine and used some heavy body white paint, to paint on my title.
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-FFfrxjRl81k/Wr3M2B7xTJI/AAAAAAAAA9w/QIllC8BvAqsP3tdHcKzQ_Ki5c7h1QexHQCLcBGAs/s1600/IMG_7403.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-FFfrxjRl81k/Wr3M2B7xTJI/AAAAAAAAA9w/QIllC8BvAqsP3tdHcKzQ_Ki5c7h1QexHQCLcBGAs/s400/IMG_7403.jpg" width="400" height="199" data-original-width="1600" data-original-height="795" /></a></div>
In the end, an art journal page i just love.
Happy Scrappying, (and arting)

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-VXrYLuxWfOs/WI_2MTQGBDI/AAAAAAAAA64/a9CJPrb7_N8djqB1aeqyw-CEPHczghrOQCLcB/s1600/OYQY9510.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-VXrYLuxWfOs/WI_2MTQGBDI/AAAAAAAAA64/a9CJPrb7_N8djqB1aeqyw-CEPHczghrOQCLcB/s400/OYQY9510.jpg" width="395" /></a></div>

So this month was a really cool sketch challenge over at scrap the boys. It was a multiple photo sketch which i usually stay away from, purely 'cause im terrible with multiple photos lol. But i decided to give this one a go. And then i saw these photos i had taken with my youngest and thought they would work. They are very similar photos so using them on the same layout made sense, i got to use all the photos without my layouts looking to similar. if that makes sense. well anyway, this is my layout.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Oyi3LrySiFQ/WBcoKRzJDsI/AAAAAAAAA58/TEQDkATwoKcGUc8o_0r_me2fewzPG_5hwCLcB/s1600/FullSizeRender.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="312" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Oyi3LrySiFQ/WBcoKRzJDsI/AAAAAAAAA58/TEQDkATwoKcGUc8o_0r_me2fewzPG_5hwCLcB/s320/FullSizeRender.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Scrap the boys is always on of my fave challenges to do- i always have plenty of pics of my boys, so there is never any shortage of photos to scrap.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Thanks for looking and happy scrapping</div>

The challenge is to pick a row, diagonal, vertical or horizontal, and use theose elements.<br />
I chose the bottom horizontal row- Handwrittein journling, white backround, boarder and collectables. and this is the layout I created.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-guG7NsHqyrU/WAMdVXouc4I/AAAAAAAAA4k/0Go7hnhNg6cJas0JSUZqDmrSodJZ_uS3ACLcB/s1600/IMG_0519.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-guG7NsHqyrU/WAMdVXouc4I/AAAAAAAAA4k/0Go7hnhNg6cJas0JSUZqDmrSodJZ_uS3ACLcB/s320/IMG_0519.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Dont hate me, i know its a Christmas layout, I know its only October. But i have still not finished 2015's December daily album lol. Yes i know, That's terrible. So i got out my xmas stuff to finish it off before it was time to start this years. So i had my stuff out, which lead to me going through my 2015 pics, which lead me to wanting to scrap our traditional santa phot. So that's how i got to making a Christmas layout in October lol.</div>
I really do enjoy making christmas layouts. I love christmas scrapping.<br />
Thanks for looking and Happy Scrapping<br />

Sept challengeSo this is my first time entering the stuck sketches challenge. But I do like to use sketches for inspiration. It's a great way to step away from your usually design and try something new. <div>And this is what I came up with.</div><div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-BjOhOgwysLE/V-5CRDe5VSI/AAAAAAAAA34/nFk-2mjVwDw/s640/blogger-image-1130547388.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-BjOhOgwysLE/V-5CRDe5VSI/AAAAAAAAA34/nFk-2mjVwDw/s640/blogger-image-1130547388.jpg"></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">I used the crate paper cool kid collection. And thought it suited my chosen photo really well. Being surrounded by bouts I do a lot of masculine stuff and rarely scrap myself and break out the pinks lol.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">So this mood board was perfect for merging the 2.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-SpSULVt6rII/V-3sMakIHcI/AAAAAAAAA3o/UxiFq8Dj_MY/s640/blogger-image--249008193.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-SpSULVt6rII/V-3sMakIHcI/AAAAAAAAA3o/UxiFq8Dj_MY/s640/blogger-image--249008193.jpg"></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">And this is my layout. I love using mists and mixed media in my backrounds. I loved the 2 colours together and didn't want them to mix to make purple so I tried to keep them seperate. And I love the result. I also used the dlish just add paper kit aswell. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">Thanks for looking and</div>Happy scrapping</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">Xxx</div><br></div>Chrissihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06076037472412252287noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8478737355569952872.post-34692520681527337712016-09-26T20:50:00.001+10:002016-09-26T20:50:08.435+10:00Scrap the girls- September challengeSo it turns out, although I did this layout almost 2 weeks ago- I totally forgot to post it!! <div>So here it is lol.</div><div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-9N4T9NaOR9c/V-j9X-inpCI/AAAAAAAAA3U/nf6InyGQBJA/s640/blogger-image--1258569740.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-9N4T9NaOR9c/V-j9X-inpCI/AAAAAAAAA3U/nf6InyGQBJA/s640/blogger-image--1258569740.jpg"></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">This is a picture of my gorgeous God daughter and I just mucking around one morning lol. I wanted the blue to stand out the most on this layout- to toe in the boys and the beach theme to the pic.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">So I hope you've liked this layout and the challenge- check it out, it's a good one.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">Hapoy scrapping</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">Chrissi xxx</div><br></div><br></div><div><br></div>Chrissihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06076037472412252287noreply@blogger.com12tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8478737355569952872.post-61419567224566850222016-09-24T23:59:00.001+10:002016-09-24T23:59:26.408+10:00Kaisercraft blog challengeSo this month, the challenge at Kaisercraft was a tough one. It was a mood board based on there new winter Christmas collection. <div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-HkKXEWorjjk/V-aGteCDgbI/AAAAAAAAA2w/GPX1tqqvonQ/s640/blogger-image-341301604.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-HkKXEWorjjk/V-aGteCDgbI/AAAAAAAAA2w/GPX1tqqvonQ/s640/blogger-image-341301604.jpg"></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">So in a kit I received the papers from the new frosted collection. And I knew these papers would be hard for me to use. Mainly because Christmas is in summer here on my side of the world, and also because I'm a bright, red green and gold Christmas scrapper lol.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">But then I thought about it, and I figured the light blue and silver of this kit I could make work. And this is what I came up with.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-bzqb2AqBTLk/V-aGvdnXQTI/AAAAAAAAA20/Px5_XnIQa5s/s640/blogger-image-672058723.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-bzqb2AqBTLk/V-aGvdnXQTI/AAAAAAAAA20/Px5_XnIQa5s/s640/blogger-image-672058723.jpg"></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">So the first thing I did was reduce the vibrancy and saturation of my photo so it was more muted and suited the paper better. Obviously because she is in a gorgeous red dress, I didn't want that to clash with the papers too much. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">After that it came together very quickly and rather simply. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">It's a nice simple Christmas layout, and it's out of my comfort zone when it comes to Christmas colours. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">In the end I was very happy with how it turned out.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">Thanks for looking and happy scrapping. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">Chrissi xxx</div><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br></div><br></div>Chrissihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06076037472412252287noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8478737355569952872.post-60828274198240010722016-08-31T21:11:00.001+10:002016-08-31T21:11:31.477+10:00Scrap the boys!I'm Getting my last minute entry in for the scrap the boys challenge.<div>This months challenge was a good one- NOT HAPPY.</div><div>Scrap a tantrum or a sad face. </div><div>Lots of fun. </div><div>So I went looking through my photos thinking if have a good one for sure, and I just wasn't happy with any.</div><div>Then I came across this screen shot of a message I got.</div><div>It was a photo of my godson with the message "not impressed Aunty Chriatina".</div><div>You see, he and his family were making the 8 hr drive to my house from theirs, and he doesn't like the car lol.</div><div>So I decided to scrap the screen shot message :) and here is my page</div><div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-l8zZGSsR0C8/V8a7YT__qTI/AAAAAAAAAys/jfqHsW6e4XE/s640/blogger-image--989192054.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-l8zZGSsR0C8/V8a7YT__qTI/AAAAAAAAAys/jfqHsW6e4XE/s640/blogger-image--989192054.jpg"></a></div><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">So what do you think?</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">Thanks for looking and happy scrapping</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">Chrissi xxx</div><br></div>Chrissihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06076037472412252287noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8478737355569952872.post-9772122154945308582016-08-29T21:24:00.001+10:002016-08-29T21:24:01.565+10:00Vegemite smiles scrappingEver have a layout that comes together so quickly and so perfectly? <div>I'm in love with this layout and love how it came together!</div><div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-xfuZDxsL4m4/V8QbPuNlgsI/AAAAAAAAAyU/RWFLvKwEbOc/s640/blogger-image-1852637398.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-xfuZDxsL4m4/V8QbPuNlgsI/AAAAAAAAAyU/RWFLvKwEbOc/s640/blogger-image-1852637398.jpg"></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">I made this layout for the Kaisercraft August challenge. Routine is very important with 2 autistic boys, and our lack of has taken its toll on our little men. So back into the swing of things, routine back and visuals making everything predictable.<div><br></div><div>So in saying that, I'm trying to get back into my craft room and back to my "me" time as well. And I've found my mojo has been lagging a little- and when my mojo goes on hiatus I like to do a challenge or 2. Helps get it all flowing again. And I found some new challenges.</div><div>Like this one- the scrap it with a song challenge. The prompt was a song Meghan Trainirs Beter when I'm dancing. This made me think of how I feel when I listen to music, and what I do when I listen to my tunes.</div><div><br></div><div>I was having a scrappy chat in a favebook group just yesterday about what we listen to whilst scrapping. I always have music playing- and my playlist changes from week to week. So I decided to document this weeks playlist :) I did a page in my new travelers notebook to document this.</div><div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-MXEmgTZeAXI/V8Edy3FlVGI/AAAAAAAAAxg/p0UBUGwcyyI/s640/blogger-image--361995044.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-MXEmgTZeAXI/V8Edy3FlVGI/AAAAAAAAAxg/p0UBUGwcyyI/s640/blogger-image--361995044.jpg"></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">I also have a process video to go with this page. I've been so focused on my YouTube channel, the poor blog got left out lol.<div>But I'm back today with a new layout, this time for the June Kaisercraft challenge. Yes cutting it close I know!!! This months challenge was a mood board.</div><div><br></div><div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-1Q_NO4ScSZA/V3St2nDEumI/AAAAAAAAAwk/AcDqDciw5WI/s640/blogger-image-464765271.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-1Q_NO4ScSZA/V3St2nDEumI/AAAAAAAAAwk/AcDqDciw5WI/s640/blogger-image-464765271.jpg"></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">And I was inspired by the picture down the bottom and the lovely watercolour green.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">So I decided to scrap this photo of me- something I don't do often at all. It's a lovely photo from one of my art journal aftermath. Lol</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">And this mood board made me think of that photo, and my art journal. So I thought this was the perfect photo to use for the mood board. And I knew I wanted to do a green wash for the backround, and I also merged that into a little bit of of yellow to blend. I used my mists and sprayed them into packaging.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">And this is what I came up with. <div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-gAsLNYd5XD0/V3St0an_MhI/AAAAAAAAAwc/xjPJeuxDObg/s640/blogger-image-1755984877.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-gAsLNYd5XD0/V3St0an_MhI/AAAAAAAAAwc/xjPJeuxDObg/s640/blogger-image-1755984877.jpg"></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">I really like how this turned out.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">Thanks for looking and </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">Happy scrapping</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">Chrissi xxx</div></div><br></div>Chrissihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06076037472412252287noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8478737355569952872.post-85792173276435713482016-04-30T10:05:00.001+10:002016-04-30T10:05:00.529+10:00April sketch challengeAfter a trip to my local Kaiser outlet on Wednesday (haul video on my YouTube channel) I finally had the supplies I wanted to find my layout for the Kaisercraft monthly challenge. Aprils challenge was a sketch challenge.<div> <div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-Eeo59iSBWSo/VyP2o4N5JaI/AAAAAAAAAv8/Bb00aDoPWXc/s640/blogger-image-1115424520.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-Eeo59iSBWSo/VyP2o4N5JaI/AAAAAAAAAv8/Bb00aDoPWXc/s640/blogger-image-1115424520.jpg"></a></div></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">And this is the layout I created for the sketch.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-uY7dhJo6d4M/VyP2q7nIx0I/AAAAAAAAAwA/9l3Uk6fBGTA/s640/blogger-image-1949351461.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-uY7dhJo6d4M/VyP2q7nIx0I/AAAAAAAAAwA/9l3Uk6fBGTA/s640/blogger-image-1949351461.jpg"></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">I really like how this layout turned out- I was unsure of the sketch but then I was inspired and happy with how it turned out. I loved the photo and could picture using this xoxo cut file behind it. <div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-wGUX3Rn8tzU/Vu5E2Jvz2RI/AAAAAAAAAvc/IFoIOA1tTb4/s640/blogger-image--931153607.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-wGUX3Rn8tzU/Vu5E2Jvz2RI/AAAAAAAAAvc/IFoIOA1tTb4/s640/blogger-image--931153607.jpg"></a></div><br><div>My sisters wedding colours were black and gold, do I decided to keep it simple using those colours. </div><div>I started with putting some vellum and gold glitter paper behind the xoxo. The only thing I would do different is I would put gold glitter behind the bottom xo instead of the one above it. But it's down now, so leaving it as it is.</div></div><div>Once the cut file was down I mounted my photo on some foam to pop it up and then added some more gold with some gold color shine.</div><div>Then I used a rub on saying forever and ever, made a banner and a small cluster and used that as my title- I just realised I forgot to add the tiny finishing touches of bling lol.</div><div>Like unsaid, just keeping it simple to focus on the photo and the gold on the cut file.</div><div>Thanks for looking</div><div>And happy scrapping</div><div>Chrissi xxx</div>Chrissihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06076037472412252287noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8478737355569952872.post-87014299771703522162016-03-15T20:19:00.001+11:002016-03-15T20:19:26.651+11:00Scrapping Clearly ( and pleasantly surprised )Tonight I started scrapping without having a process video in mind, and just scrapped for me. I saw the Scrapping Clearly challenge sketch and thought I'd give it a go.<div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br></div><div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-FaKjwGyScdw/VufTnNxmg1I/AAAAAAAAAvM/cy4P0r4MFr4/s640/blogger-image-653437484.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-FaKjwGyScdw/VufTnNxmg1I/AAAAAAAAAvM/cy4P0r4MFr4/s640/blogger-image-653437484.jpg"></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">I wanted to give it a go and I picked a photo to trim down to 4x4. I'm not usually one to layer like this- i don't usually like it. But I wanted to try this sketch and make it work for me.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">I remembered I had some CTMH pocket page cards that would suit the photo perfectly. So undecided to use the pocket life cards to layer. And as my title suggests, I was pleasantly surprised with how I turned out. I wasn't expecting to like it, but info- I love this layout :)</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-SA5dgm5P-a4/VufTlsTiZWI/AAAAAAAAAvI/Qj5xqeg-Ksg/s640/blogger-image-1817203356.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-SA5dgm5P-a4/VufTlsTiZWI/AAAAAAAAAvI/Qj5xqeg-Ksg/s640/blogger-image-1817203356.jpg"></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">I used some distress stain to create my splats and let them run down the page. I love the messy grunge look. Then I applied my layers- using my pocket page cards. My "title" is made of very small phrase stickers- I thought I'd try something different and I just love it :) it suits the picture we'll. It says "You are capable of becoming more then you realise."</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">Thanks for looking</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">Happy scrapping</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">Chrissi xxx</div><br></div><br></div></div>Chrissihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06076037472412252287noreply@blogger.com7tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8478737355569952872.post-55528208668235896512016-03-14T21:28:00.001+11:002016-03-14T21:28:25.606+11:00New art journal pageThis week I have an entry for the Simon Says Stanp Monday challenge. This weeks challenge was to <div>Make your own Background.</div><div>And seeing as all my art journal pages start with a background I thought it would be the perfect thing to do for this challenge.</div><div>And this is what I came up with...</div><div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-DgEdUmh5RZ4/VuaSR1YKJ2I/AAAAAAAAAu4/xHd9icgb24g/s640/blogger-image--1707103825.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-DgEdUmh5RZ4/VuaSR1YKJ2I/AAAAAAAAAu4/xHd9icgb24g/s640/blogger-image--1707103825.jpg"></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">I started with my dylusions. I applied with a card to mix the colours as I dragged the cars across the page. Then I added some distress stamps. I felt I had over done it so I got my paints back out and used my fingers to blend the paints and stamped images together. And I'm really happy with how it turned out.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">Thanks fi looking and happy scrapping</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">Chrissi xxx</div><br></div><br></div><div><br></div>Chrissihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06076037472412252287noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8478737355569952872.post-31801178025888593322016-03-09T20:11:00.001+11:002016-03-09T20:11:15.407+11:00Art journalling againSo I have finally got some energy back and am, finally, once again finding inspiration in things.<div>Don't you just love it when the mojo is flowing so much that a quick sit down at the craft desk turns into hours long because the idea is just moving forward so much. </div><div>I saw this challenge on the Simon Say Stamp Wednesday challenge blog.</div><div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-TmdqVjr6sqA/Vt_n-KqkTEI/AAAAAAAAAug/S6UM0ykCy5k/s640/blogger-image-1223946996.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-TmdqVjr6sqA/Vt_n-KqkTEI/AAAAAAAAAug/S6UM0ykCy5k/s640/blogger-image-1223946996.jpg"></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">And I thought to myself, I have a great art journal page in mind for that. I could use modelling paste to create texture- something I do all the time.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">Song started on a background and the ideas just kept coming. The inks were blending great, the colour was just what I was after. The quote I loved matched the layout perfectly, It was all going amazing.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">Next thing I knew my alarm was going off telling me it was time to go get my son from school lol. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">And this is what I created </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-gNTQaoYrBqM/Vt_n_1xvH6I/AAAAAAAAAuk/8GYYlQbhF_8/s640/blogger-image-45297862.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-gNTQaoYrBqM/Vt_n_1xvH6I/AAAAAAAAAuk/8GYYlQbhF_8/s640/blogger-image-45297862.jpg"></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">It may not look like much but there is 4 different coloured inks in there lol. I will have to take a better picture with natural light tomorrow and hope it shows it better lol. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">Thanks for stopping by</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">Happy scrapping</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">Chrissi xxx</div><br></div><br></div>Chrissihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06076037472412252287noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8478737355569952872.post-69669317980870802562016-03-02T17:16:00.001+11:002016-03-02T17:16:44.549+11:00123 Challenge BlogThe March 123 challenge went live so I can now share with you my DT entry for their months challenge. <div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-ty8SwemciyA/VtaFSqVT4eI/AAAAAAAAAs8/W-_9K_RoP2c/s640/blogger-image-525043884.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-ty8SwemciyA/VtaFSqVT4eI/AAAAAAAAAs8/W-_9K_RoP2c/s640/blogger-image-525043884.jpg"></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">For this months challenge I decided to make an Art Journal page. I love art journaling and love to play with paints and ink and all sorts of messy things. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-Y9pPrB7OSz8/VtaFRDNdIxI/AAAAAAAAAs4/eZfKrbB7npg/s640/blogger-image--856283811.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-Y9pPrB7OSz8/VtaFRDNdIxI/AAAAAAAAAs4/eZfKrbB7npg/s640/blogger-image--856283811.jpg"></a></div>And this page came together really easily. As I was gathering my colours to fill the autumn colour criteria it all seemed to flow from there. I used red and orange dylusions paints and had a touch of brown on my pallet. I used an old card to drag the paint over the page- and in doing this the colours blended together beautifully. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">I love this layout- thanks for stopping by, hope you will join us this month for our challenge.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">Happy Scrapping</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">Xxx</div><br></div>Chrissihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06076037472412252287noreply@blogger.com0
